Geoff McMillan
Chief Executive Officer
Geoff McMillan is founder CEO of Speciality European Pharma. He is also non-executive chairman of Maelor plc, a non-executive director of Galapagos NV and a consultant to Advent Venture Partners. Geoff has more than 20 years experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. He was previously CEO of Biofocus until October 2005 when it was merged with Galapagos NV. Prior to this he held a number of senior commercial positions with Elan, Roche and Xenova, having started his career in marketing and sales with Smith and Nephew.
Patrick Banks
Chief Financial Officer, Speciality European Pharma
Patrick Banks has more than 11 years' experience in the biotech sector, firstly with Phairson Medical, a protein therapeutics company, and then with Inpharmatica, a chemogenomics and discovery company. He also has previous financial market experience at Arthur Andersen in London. Patrick brings extensive M&A, MBO and LBO experience, and was advisor on five IPOs on LSE and NYSE.
Marius Raulf
Managing Director, Speciality European Pharma Germany
Marius Raulf has more than 20 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry, encompassing sales and marketing. He held a number of positions with Chiron Biopharmaceuticals Europe, including director marketing partners Europe, general manager Chiron GmbH, and head of the Oncology/Immunology Business Unit. Before joining Chiron, Marius worked for Lipha Group in a range of sales and marketing roles.
Dr Kenneth Watters
Chief Medical Officer
Dr Kenneth Watters trained in medicine at Dublin University and has 29 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He was previously vice president clinical development, regulatory affairs and drug safety at Celgene International. Prior to this he held several senior positions in the industry, covering all phases of drug development and regulatory affairs, with companies such as Ortho, Covance, SKB, Glaxo and Servier.
Billy Hargan
Senior Vice President Marketing
Billy has over 25 years’ experience in sales, marketing and general management in the pharmaceutical industry. Most recently, he was director of commercial operations for EMEA for Hospira, and was closely involved in the establishment of the company in Europe. Prior to joining Hospira in 2004, Billy held a variety of senior positions at Abbott (where he had spells leading the pharmaceutical products division and at the hospital products division), BASF Pharma and Boots Pharmaceuticals.
Pierre-Louis Moulard
Commercial Director, Speciality European Pharma France
Pierre-Louis has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 20 years. He has held a number of senior sales, marketing and business development positions at companies including J&J, Eli Lilly and Astellas. His broad experience includes developing the market for a number of biotech products and some highly specialized, high-value hospital medicines. He has also led a number of hospital sales teams and gained international marketing experience.
Tim Record
Senior Vice President Operations
Tim is a pharmacist with 22 years experience at GlaxoSmithKline in production management, technical transfers, third party contractor management and global programme management. Most recently he was director new product supply and successfully led the introduction of several complex respiratory device products to US, Japanese and EU markets. Prior to this he played a key role in the merger of Glaxo and SB, working with the FTC to fulfil the manufacturing obligations and leading approximately 8,000 technical transfers to enable multiple site closures.
General Manager, Speciality European Pharma Italy
Ivo has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 15 years. He has held positions in finance, marketing and sales operations at Abbott, with a particular focus in hospital market, anaesthesiology and neonatology. Prior to joining Speciality European Pharma, Ivo was the country manager for Hospira, and was responsible for the establishment of the company in Italy. Most recently he was closely involved in the merger of Hospira and Mayne Pharma in Italy.
Marc B Garnick, MD
Clinical Consultant
Dr Marc B Garnick is clinical professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and maintains an academic/clinical practice at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. From 1994 to 2006, he was executive vice president, chief medical and regulatory officer at Praecis Pharmaceuticals Inc, where he developed Plenaxis. Prior to that, Dr Garnick was vice president of clinical development at Genetics Institute (now Wyeth), and lead academic investigator for the development of Lupron.
